Salt

Vikochem offers a wide range of animal nutrition products including animal nutrition salt. Salt is an essential mineral in animals' diets, providing sodium and chloride (chlorine) as major electrolytes supporting the maintenance of the central nervous system. They are also involved in the digestion (HCl in the stomach), absorption (Na) and transportation of nutrients from the intestines into the blood stream.

Our product range includes salt for inclusion into animal feed, salt licks as free access mineral and crystal salt as a boost for palatability of pastures, as well as a preservative on silage clamps. Our salt is accredited to UFAS/FEMAS/GMP+.

Salt is available in bulk, IBC’s and bags from our strategically located storage facilities.
